We now have an exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship Brokerage Manager in our Productivity & Skills Directorate and are looking for a person with proven knowledge of modern apprenticeships to leverage collaboration between employers, training providers and other stakeholders.
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration. Individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.
This is an exciting time for the West Midlands - the Commonwealth Games will be here in 2022, the arrival of HS2 will help make us a world class business location and a new £350m housing deal aims to deliver 215,000 new homes by 2031.

The Productivity and Skills Team
The teams is focused on inclusive growth - more local jobs and more local people benefitting from jobs. To do this we work closely with the regions Universities, colleges and training providers and also employers so that the training matches their skills needs.
About the role
You will lead the development and implementation of the Apprenticeship Brokerage Service, a first class customer facing service to employers to facilitate the development of high quality apprenticeship places within the West Midlands Combined Authority area. You will deliver this through engagement and collaboration with a range of stakeholders (Higher Education, Further Education colleges, training providers, Local Enterprise Partnerships and Local Authorities)
To succeed in the role
You will need proven experience relating to the development and delivery of apprenticeship advisory services to employers, with an understanding of the wider employment, skills and training landscape. Plus you will need excellent knowledge of apprenticeships, apprenticeship levy, standards their development and implementation.
