We now have an exciting opportunity for a MI Analyst in our Productivity and Skills Directorate and are looking for an analytical individual to undertake this new role.
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration. Individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.
This is an exciting time for the West Midlands - the Commonwealth Games will be here in 2022, the arrival of HS2 will help make us a world class business location and a new £350m housing deal aims to deliver 215,000 new homes by 2031.

The Productivity and Skills team is expanding its delivery to include the regional commissioning of the Adult Education Budget alongside a number of skills pilots in construction and digital.
About the role…
As our MI Analyst you’ll be responsible for producing regular data reports and analysis across a range of performance date including the Individualised Learner Record (ILR).
You will develop, implement and maintain management information systems to track progress and evidence outcomes of a range of skills programmes of work including the Adult Education Budget.
To succeed in the role …
You will be numerate and have experience in the analysis and interpretation of large complex data sets, and a successful track record in undertaking data analysis (including the use of ILR data). You’ll be able to use Microsoft packages for processing, presenting and manipulating data and have SQL experience. An understanding of the AEB funding rules and payments would also be an advantage.
